  • Superannuation contributions including salary sacrifice.

BUSSQ also offers members more complex financial advice about their superannuation on a fee-for-service basis, with no charge for the initial meeting.

The type of financial planning advice covered by these fees include:

When you book an appointment for complex financial advice, the first consultation will not be charged, as this will be a general advice session. In this session they will find out more about your personal situation, determine your financial advice needs and ensure you can improve your financial position.

We will then provide you with costs for the complex financial advice; once these have been agreed to we can arrange the next step.

Once you have received the complex financial advice - including a written Statement of Advice (SOA – a document that outlines all the recommendations) - the agreed cost can be deducted from your BUSSQ super or Pension fund account.

Our fees for financial planning advice are low intentionally

We are an industry super fund regulated by APRA, and are therefore required by law to charge our super fund members a fee for delivering complex financial planning advice. However, we’ve worked hard to ensure our fees for financial advice planning services are low and structured purely for cost recovery, to make sure you can still access the financial advice you need to get your superannuation sorted. Better still, these fees can be deducted from your super fund account, so you won’t be out of pocket.

*BUSSQ offers members personal limited financial advice about their super including: choosing insurance, choosing investments and contributions, at no extra cost as it is included in the fund’s administration fees. This advice is offered over the phone. BUSSQ also offers members and non-members more complex financial advice on a fee for service basis. This advice can be done in person or over the phone. Our fee for complex advice is very competitively priced at $150 per hour which includes GST. The cost is very low and structured purely for cost recovery. It is expected that most complex advice will cost between $300 and $750, depending on the complexity and time required by the financial planners. Non BUSSQ members who receive advice will need to be billed for the advice separately.
