HOW DO I JOIN A BUSS(Q) PENSION?
1. ONLINE
Please click on the YELLOW button to the right to join BUSS(Q) online now.
You’ll be asked to complete 8 steps, which should take approximately 10 minutes. Please have your Tax File Number (TFN) handy when completing your application.
You will then receive an email from BUSS(Q) within 5 - 7 business days welcoming you to the fund and giving you a BUSS(Q) Membership Number. If you are aged under 60 years, we will also post you a TFN Notification form that will need to be completed, signed and returned to BUSS(Q).
Before we make your first Pension payment, we will need to receive:
a) Your proof of ID, and
b) Your completed TFN Notification form (if aged under 60 years)
2. MAIL
If you don't wish to join online, please read the information in the Product Disclosure Statement, print and complete the Pension Application form contained within the Product Disclosure Statement and post the signed application form to BUSS(Q) at the address provided on the form.

IF YOU'RE CURRENTLY A MEMBER OF THE BUSS(Q) SUPER FUND
If you're currently a member of the BUSS(Q) super fund (Employer Sponsored Plan or Personal Plan), you can join a BUSS(Q) Transition to Retirement Pension, or Retirement Pension product if you are: 1. Over 55 years old and have retired from the workforce; or
2. At least 60 years old and have ceased employment; or
3. At least 65 years of age; or
4. Have been assessed by the BUSS(Q) Trustee as being totally and permanently
disabled.
You may also purchase a non-commutable pension (a pension where you're unable to take a lump sum) if you have met preservation requirements and are still working.

You begin a BUSS(Q) Transition to Retirement Pension or Retirement Pension by rolling over all or part of your BUSS(Q) superannuation benefit. Payouts from other superannuation funds and approved deposit funds, and certain termination payouts from employers should be rolled over into your BUSS(Q) account before commencing your pension. The minimum amount needed to commence either BUSS(Q) pension product is $10,000. If you are about to receive a payout from another super fund or an employer, it is important that you ask the payer to transfer the payment directly to BUSS(Q), before your benefit is transferred to the pension part of the Fund. It is a Government regulation that a payout from another fund cannot be paid into a standard Retirement or Transition to Retirement Pension once it has been taken in cash. IF YOU'RE CURRENTLY A MEMBER OF ANOTHER PENSION PRODUCT
If you're currently a member of another fund's pension product, you can join a BUSS(Q) Transition to Retirement Pension, or Retirement Pension product if you are:
1. Over 55 years old and have retired from the workforce; or
2. At least 60 years old and have ceased employment; or
3. At least 65 years of age.
