Unpaid Super

Worried about whether your super has been paid?

BUSS(Q) is committed to making sure you receive the superannuation you are entitled to. Contribution Arrears Manager, Marcus Stephen, heads the BUSS(Q) Arrears Department who work to reduce non-payment and late payment of members' super.

Marcus works with unions, major contractors and employers to provide a vigilant arrears and collection process at BUSS(Q) to help you to get the super you’ve worked hard for.

An overview of BUSS(Q)’s unpaid super process:

  1. Member calls BUSS(Q) to make a complaint
  2. BUSS(Q) investigates the complaint and phones employer to remedy the late payment
  3. BUSS(Q) sends a 7-day demand letter detailing the breach under the Superannuation Guarantee laws and outlines the arrangement
  4. If an agreement cannot be reached with the employer, BUSS(Q) will appoint its solicitor to commence formal legal proceedings
  5. BUSS(Q) may notify the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), which may have a large impact on an employer who breaches their duties under the Superannuation Guarantee laws.

At BUSS (Q) we really do care about our members and unlike other funds we will not outsource this process. We will personally take control of any arrears issues that our members encounter.

If you have any questions or concerns about your super payments or would like to make a complaint about unpaid super, please contact:
