Transfer cover

If you have super accounts outside of BUSSQ that include Death, Disability or Income Protection insurance, you might be able to transfer the cover to your BUSSQ account.

Apply to transfer your cover

You can apply to transfer up to $1 million of Death only or Death and TPD cover and up to $10,000 per month (before tax) of Income Protection cover from your other super fund(s) to BUSSQ.

To transfer your insurance cover to BUSSQ, follow these easy steps:
  1. If you're not already a member, join BUSSQ.
  2. Apply to transfer your current insurance cover to BUSSQ by completing the Transfer of cover from another fund form.
  3. Consider combining your other funds into your BUSSQ account. Before you do, check any insurance or benefits you may be giving up, or if there are any fee or tax implications. Learn more about combining your super.
  4. Apply for any additional insurance cover you may want. Conditions apply.

Keep things simple

Having one super account could make sense - You may pay less fees, have less paperwork and find it easier to track your balance. If you have transferred your insurance cover to BUSSQ, consider combining the account balance from your other fund as well.

Important

Please read the Insurance Handbook and consider the information relevant to your circumstances.

Do not cancel existing insurance cover or close/combine another super account until BUSSQ has confirmed in writing that your application to transfer cover has been accepted.

Insurance is subject to eligibility. See the PDS and Insurance Handbook for more information.
